New guidance from London Fire Brigade: people vulnerable to fire risk
BRE and London Fire Brigade have published guidance on identifying people who may be in need of a personal protection system (PPS) in their home.
A PPS is an automatic fire suppression device, typically a watermist system, which is designed to protect against specific fire risks in homes. It automatically activates over a bed or chair that is the seat of a fire, safeguarding the occupant who may be unable to escape without assistance due to physical or mental incapacity. This guidance draws on the industry’s latest findings about risk and priority for a PPS.
